1. Caused by a novel subtype of influenza A virus2. It is found in pig populations
3. Different strains include H3N2, H1N2, & H4N6
4. Symptoms include fever, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, etc...
5. In 2009 it killed 250,000 to 500,000 people(0.1 percent of population)
6. Cures include adamantones(amantadine and remantadine)
7. Also inbitators of influenza neuramindase(oseltamivir and zanamiur)
8. Last outbreak occured in early 2009
9. It is traced back to the early 1900's
10. If it is not cured it can spread rapidly
